The Heart Center: A Cyclone of Energy from Within
Kundalini Live Teacher Series Presents: Sukhmandir Singh Khalsa • 1h 17m
Inhale. Hold the breath.
Aad Guray Nameh, the primal light within. Sat, true, Siri, forever infinite, that teaching that comes down within.
Exhale please. Inhale deep, Have the hands at the heart center. Hold the breath. Go within now and visualize this energy coming. Base of your spine, sitting in this cycle of energy. Being drawn upwards into the light, hold the breath. Right through the heart center. All this spinning energy and you’re sitting right in the center. Perfectly beautifully, being drawn upward. Effortlessly. And exhale.
one more time, inhale, hold this breath. Now you’re sitting at the top of the head. We’re gonna go right there, right inside yourself. Looking up through as if you’re looking through the top of your skull and into this prismatic dome of consciousness. All the veins of your prana are being lit up by your life, by this breath. In the center is this beam of pure white light opening up. This is the dimensional portal, the doorway, the top, out of your head. Hold your breath, look up now. Feel that light connection. Exhale.
So relax your breath, and lets just do our basic stretching. this is what i do everyday. Grab your toes on the right, legs apart. This time take your right hand, go over the top, and begin breath of fire. Put a pressure on the big toe. Try to stick your left leg out as far as you can. Now breath of fire is done by pumping the diaphragm, keeping the concentration on the exhale, out through the nose, and relaxing the diaphragm for the inhale. Try to get your right elbow down on the inside of your leg, if you can. Keeping your legs straight. Pull yourself around.
Inhale. Exhale, stretch down. Inhale up, and take the right hand over, change legs, and begin breath of fire. If this is awkward for you, just try to stretch down, But try to get that twist a little bit, right and left. Powerful breath, last few times. Stretch down a little more, keep up. Inhale. Exhale, and grab both toes, pull yourself down. Inhale up, exhale down, slowly inhaling up, and exhaling down. Focus at the third eye center. Bending only from the base of your spine so you feel that pressure, right at the base of your spine. Close your eyes, breath powerfully long and deep. Inhaling up, exhaling down. Letting yourself come down little more each time. Feel that stretch along the life nerve. Feeling that stretch on your back. Bring yourself down a little more each time.
Actually go inside now and feel where its tight. Feel the tension, it’ll be on the back of the legs usually, the sciatic nerve on the legs. You will also feel it right at the base of your spine, coming up the lower back. This is so you can relax those ligaments, those muscles, come down just a little more with each breath. Breathe powerfully and deeply. Even if you can’t come down, keep the breath powerful and deep.
We have to gather the energy in kundalini yoga. Then its the intent of our consciousness that carries the energy through, otherwise its just exercise. But gathering the energy with the intent of redirecting up the spine, opening up the higher centers, becoming part of this universal dance of light. This is what we do as a yogi. This is what is required, you have to do the effort, you have to put in the time, you have to have the energy, and you have to learn to seal off the energy. You have to be very conservative with that, and very conscious with it. So thats what we do as yogi’s, we create these personalities, these bio computers, this upward existence, to conserve energy, to gather energy, and to direct it. To open up these higher centers of consciousness.
Inhale up, put pressure in the big toe, stimulate that acupressure point, third eye center, pituitary, pineal gland, stimulition, hold, pull the locks, chin is down, pull the stomach in, pull the root lock. eyes are rolled up, tongue is touching top of pallet, al the locks are pulled perfectly, exhale, stretch down, hold, inhale please and come lying on your backs and relax your breath. Palms by your side, palms up, gather your breath. Don’t let your mind wander. The intent of consciousness, and thats the big one of course, you almost have to define that intent as a continual practice. In this ocean of consciousness that we live in, that we’re all swimming in, this world of consciousness. The distractions are so much, the input is so much. Its a constant flux. So its the defining of that intent. And that remembering that intent, almost, it coms down really to every breath. It comes down to every day, to everything that you do. You start to perceive as an intellectual thought, first of all this universal oneness that we’re all tied together. You start to see the play of energy. Then it comes to your mind that you have to make this a part of your life. This experience that you have, this beauty that you see, this awesomeness that you continue to see catching it out of the climpse of your eye.
